Since 1992, Zumtobel AG has published its annual reports as contemporary graphic design editions. Each issue is designed and implemented by internationally renowned artists and designers. These annual reports have come to rank as collector’s items, have been presented in international graphic design publications, and form part of major museum collections. Annual Report 2009/10 by Christian Boros This year’s annual report has been designed by Christian Boros, founder and proprietor of the communications agency of the same name in Wuppertal/Berlin. In his design concept, he explores the fascination of light, the brands of the Zumtobel Group and their internal and external networks. Thanks to an iridescent foil coating and platinum edging, light already plays and is reflected in the cover of this monumentally styled volume. The book is symbolically held together by three vibrantly coloured rubber bands placed one on top of the other, which not only represent the idea of networks but also the Group’s three strong brands: Thorn, Tridonic and Zumtobel. Portrait photography was by Richard Seymour .
