Antonov 225 Mriya last flight

In February I was commissioned by London based 26Aviation to shoot the worlds largest freight aircraft-The Antonov 225.
Its task was to ship millions of covid testing kits from Tianjin Binhai International Airport, China to Billund Airport in Denmark.
A real privilege to shoot this colossal aircraft.
Little did we know at the time that this would be its last ever flight.
Upon to returning to its base in Ukraine it was then destroyed by Russian military action on February 27th

In the coming weeks this piece of aviation history will be given the love and care it deserves by undertaking a full retouch of the imagery.
These are the last professional shots ever to be taken.

Mriya took off into storm clouds that final morning.
It now seems horribly prescient.
