Am interesting commission came my way a couple of weeks ago. A PR campaign for NPower drawing attention to the energy inefficiency of many London buildings.

In the 1930’s New York built skyscrapers to demonstrate its corporate power, in the 1990’s it was the turn of the Pudong area of Shanghai to lead the way in dramatic architecture. For the past ten years it has been the turn of Dubai, UAE. There is nothing subtle about it but to create all of this on what I remember in the early 90’s as coastal sand dunes and a few villas is mindblowing.
